Hitting nine boundaries and a six, the Indian Legend lit up the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur, laying the foundation for Yuvraj Singh’s exploits that followed.

Coming out to open the innings with Virender Sehwag, Tendulkar went after Makhaya Ntini and company from the very start. After losing Sehwag for cheap, the Mumbaikar along with Badrinath – who was declared retired hurt on 42 runs – went on to stitch a 95 run stand before South Africa’s Monde Zondeki got the better of him.

Indian Legends came into this match after suffering a close loss to Kevin Pietersen’s England Legends and a win on Saturday will bolster their chances to be a part of the ‘legendary’ finals. Sachin led team India has so far managed the win three out of four matches and have scored a total of 12 points as of now.

After Tendulkar was dismissed in the 12th over, it was a vintage Yuvraj Singh show that followed. The Punjab southpaw went on to score a brilliant 52 off 22 balls, taking De Bruyn for four maximums in a row.
