Nagaraj%20Kharvi%2C%20teaching%20in%20Kalmanja%20government%20higher%20primary%20school%20at%20Kundapur%20in%20Udupi%20district%20of%20Karnataka%2C%20attempted%20the%20feat%20on%20Friday.%20He%20reached%20his%20destination%20at%20the%20Tannirbhavi%20Beach%20by%20covering%20a%20distance%20of%20one%20kilometre%20in%2025%20minutes%2016%20seconds.
Though%20the%20morning%20wind%20was%20in%20the%20northward%20direction%2C%20Mr%20Kharvi%20used%20his%20full%20force%20and%20reached%20the%20flag%20that%20was%20posted%20in%20the%20southern%20direction.

Nagaraja%20Kharvi%20had%20bagged%20two%20gold%20and%20one%20bronze%20medal%20in%20the%20national%20level%20swimming%20competition%20that%20was%20held%20in%20Vadodara%20of%20Gujarat%20in%20last%20January.%20He%20also%20intends%20to%20create%20awareness%20among%20the%20public%20about%20the%20benefits%20of%20swimming%20and%20Yoga%20and%20also%20the%20wrong%20thinking%20people%20have%20in%20mind%20about%20the%20sea.

Kharvi%20later%20told%20reporters%20that%20no%20one%20had%20created%20a%20record%20in%20the%20Padmasana%20posture.%20He%20learnt%20yoga%20at%20Sri%20Dharmastala%20Shantivana%2C%20and%20later%20started%20practising%20swimming%20in%20the%20Padmasana%20posture.%20Kharvi%20also%20thanked%20the%20trainers%2C%20organisers%2C%20police%2C%20friends%20and%20family%20for%20their%20support.
