Shahrukh’s performance sent social media
into a frenzy as the 26-year-old took it upon himself to take his side to
victory with 17 runs needed in the final over, a daunting task for every batter
in the world. Thanks to Shahrukh’s performance Tamil Nadu successfully chased the
target of 152 runs.

Shahrukh was up against left arm pacer
Prateek Jain in the final over and he was certainly up for the challenge. Watch

Shahrukh began the over with a four which
piled the pressure on the bowler who went on to bowl two wides. Five runs were
needed of the last delivery when Khan hit a huge hit on the leg side. The moment
the ball was hit off the bat, there was no doubt that it would land out of the
park.

Prateek Jain had a dismal look on his face
while the star of the show, Shahrukh ran off to his teammates to celebrate victory.
The bowler must be left replaying the last ball in his mind. A half-volley on
the leg stump to a dangerous looking batter was one of the worst balls to bowl.

The shot would not have become news if not
for the circumstances that it was played under.
