Shaq Barrett’s two-year-old daughter Arrayah died after drowning in a swimming pool. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released a statement, condoling her death.
“Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time. While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah,” Tampa Bay said in a statement.
Barrett was signed by the Bucs in 2019. The linebacker played for the Denver Broncos in 2014.

Shaq married his wife, Jordanna, on February 2, 2012. They have four children: Shaquil, Braylon, Aaliyah and Arrayah.
Arrayah was the youngest of Barrett’s four children. The couple got pregnant when Shaq was 19 years old. They had the baby and then tied the knot in a courtroom.
The Tampa Bay Times reported that while police is investigating Arrayah’s death, it is likely to be ruled as accidental. Police said that they responded to a call for a child who had fallen into a swimming pool on Sunday morning.
Shaq’s daughter was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.
