The weekend is here and it brings with it a number of action-packed live sporting events that will keep you glued in front of your television sets. A brand new season of the world’s most prestigious motor sport – Formula One will commence on Sunday, the same day India and England will lock horns for ODI supremacy in the third and final match.
Here is a list of sporting events to watch out for this weekend:
NBA:
The pick of the NBA action on Saturday is the showdown between San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls while the Los Angeles Lakers take on Orlando Magic the next day.
Formula One:
A new Formula One season flags off on Sunday with the Bahrain GP, the final practice race and qualifying for which will be held on Saturday.
Mercedes’ British driver Lewis Hamilton, currently tied with legendary German driver Michael Schumacher on seven titles, will be eyeing a record eighth World Championship title this season.
Cricket:
New Zealand and Bangladesh will commence their T20I series on Sunday with Tim Southee and Mahmudullah captaining the two teams team.
Australia Women begin their tour of New Zealand on Sunday, where they will play one three-match T20I and ODI series each.
India and England will vie for bragging rights with the final of their three-match series scheduled for Sunday. The series is level at 1-1.

play against Cyprus on Saturday which will be followed by Belgium taking on the Czech Republic
