The Super Bowl LVI will see the Los Angeles Rams face the Cincinnati Bengals in the former’s home stadium. Meanwhile, the Bengals have never won a championship. This makes for an exciting match, which has driven up ticket prices. 

As of February 1, the prices on the Ticketmaster list cost $6,600 apiece and go up to $24,000. Meanwhile, SeatGeek reported customers paying an average of $10,427 as of February 1. On StubHub, tickets cost $9,800 on average. Meanwhile, Vivid Seats have tickets priced at $5,862, going up to $50,000 and more when it comes to exclusive seats.

Saturday brought a change in ticket prices, as Ticketmaster and other such sites logged the lowest ticket costs to be in the ballpark of $3,000. The LoFi stadium is expected to see a record number of ticket sales.

A StubHub spokesperson said “This is LA. The entertainment capital of the world where prices for everything are through the roof. This is a perfect storm”, as per WJCL reports. The individual also noted that home team fans don’t have to spend on travel and hotels, which is driving up prices of tickets. “Proximity to the game for the teams’ fans is always a major factor in pricing”, the spokesperson reportedly noted.

Los Angeles is also seeing its first Super Bowl in 30 years. A SeatGeek official also noted, as per WJCL, that LA fans are most prone to buy tickets, along with New York fans. However, it’s been noted that Bengals is well represented based on where the fans logged in from, to buy tickets. The upset win on part of the Bengals has fans excited for the upcoming Super Bowl game. 

The official noted how COVID had impacted ticket prices, saying, “Even though it’s a small market when it’s been that long of a drought, there’s going to be a lot of excitement”, as per WJCL.
