The T20 World Cup 2022 is continuing with all of its glitz and has presented quite a few electrifying matches already.

India clinched back-to-back victories with a nail-biting win against arch-rivals Pakistan and a sweeping of the Netherlands before losing to South Africa. Apart from this, Ireland’s shocking victory over England and Zimbabwe’s victory over Pakistan have made the tournament an absolute must-watch.

All the teams in both groups A & B have played at least three matches. In Group A, New Zealand leads the pack. The hosts, Australia are in the third spot after beating Ireland.

On the other hand, in Group B, South Africa has secured a position at the top with India following in the second place.

Wanindu Hasaranga – Sri Lanka (13 wickets)

Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga sits at the top with 13 wickets in 7 matches. He has been one of the best bowlers in the tournament so far, claiming three wickets against Afghanistan in his side’s previous match.

Sam Curran – England (9 wickets)

Sam Curran has been phenomenal in the bowling department for England.

He took the first five-wicket haul of the tournament with figures 5/10. He has bagged nine wickets in just three matches. 

Blessing Muzarabani – Zimbabwe (9 wickets)

Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani follows Hasaranga closely with 9 wickets from six matches. His best figures so far are 3/23.

The 26-year-old claimed two wickets against Bangladesh and one against Pakistan.

Sikandar Raza- Zimbabwe (9 wickets)

Both stellar with bat and bowl, the Zimbabwean all-rounder has already bagged 9 wickets in the tournament from six matches.

He has been one of the most crucial members of the Zimbabwe side in the T20 World Cup so far, claiming three wickets against Pakistan and one against Bangladesh.

Bass de Leede – Netherlands (9 wickets)

Dutch star bowler Bass de Leede has also taken nine wickets from six matches and shares the crown with Sri Lankan star Hasaranga.

He has been bowling at an average of 14.44 and with an economy of 8.08. His best bowling figure was 3/19 against the UAE.

Maheesh Theekshana – Sri Lanka (9 wickets)

Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana has also been phenomenal for his team in the tournament, bagging nine wickets from seven matches.

He has been bowling at an average of 16.33 and with an economy of 6.16. His best bowling figures was 2/15 against the UAE.
