Julio Jones, wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, scored the first NFL touchdown in Germany. Playing against the Seattle Seahawks at the Allianz Arena in Munich, the 33-year-old scored his team’s longest TD of the year.

Watch:

It was a 31-yard pass that he received from his quarterback Tom Brady in the second quarter. At the 3rd and 10 position, Brady threw the ball to the open Jones, who was standing on the left side of the formation before the play, before finding his way into the middle of the field and being open for the 45-year-old to throw the ball.

The touchdown gave the Buccaneers 7-0 lead. This is the player’s second TD in three games since returning from an injury. In the NFL, it was an exceptional feat because the quarterback and receiver on the touchdown pass were a combined age of 78 years old.

Jones entered the game with just eight catches for 125 yards. This is even worse than last year when he had a career-low 31 catches for the Titans for 434 yards.

Brady has now thrown a passing TD in three different countries. He threw three TDs in 2009 and four in 2012 at the Wembley Stadium in London while again contacting his players for three touchdowns in 2017, this time in Mexico.

This is the first time since Week 2 that the Seattle Seahawks trailed at halftime, thanks to a second-quarter burst from their opposition, who held and were held scoreless in Q1.

The second endzone play occurred thanks to a one-yard TD from RB Leonard Fournette. The Seahawks have been outscored in all categories in the first half. They have failed to successfully complete a 3rd down pass, being 0-5 in the category and have five penalties so far, that have resulted in 31 yards against the team.
