Tom Brady, NFL GOAT, threw his first red-zone interception since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. Playing his 14th consecutive playoffs on Monday, the 45-year-old failed to fire. Dak Prescott’s Dallas Cowboys completely dominated the wild-card game at the Raymond James Stadium.
The Cowboys won 31-14.
With Brady struggling and his future, in the NFL, uncertain, social media users have started talking about the quarterback’s retirement.
“If this is the end for Brady, it’s an all-time stinker… Worse than Jon Snow being sent far North after killing Daenerys, and the prophecy meaning literally nothing in Game of Thrones only for them to launch a new show prequel about the prophecy we know means nothing. #gobucs,” a Twitter user said.
“Your boy Tom Brady is done. I know you won’t admit it. Honestly your and NFL owner you paying him 40 million for 1 year after watching him this whole year. Rich you won’t pay him. Waste of good money,” another one added.
“Brady looks like a classic case of staying too long, its kinda sad really #timetogo,” a third one tweeted.
Brady won’t be returning home to the Bay Area for a rematch against Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC divisional round. He may be going home for good, however.
The 45-year-old, five-time Super Bowl MVP already retired once after last season only to return 40 days later. He said he’ll take more time to make his decision this time around.
Brady had been 7-0 against Dallas before this game, including a 19-3 road win in Week 1.
