The NFL is predominantly a quarterback-driven league over the last decade or so. There have been great QBs over the years with some claiming immortal status for the game. Some have retired while some of them are still playing at an elite level.

The current bunch of QBs is mostly pocket throwers of the ball with some exceptions of run-game dominated as well. The best throwers of the ball can be Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes or the back-to-back NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers while running ones are Lamar Jackson or Kyler Murray to name a few.

Many quarterbacks have switched teams this season, looking for a chance. This included Russell Wilson going to Denver, Deshaun Watson changing sides to play(depending on the result of his lawsuits) for the Cleveland Browns, and Baker Mayfield who last played for the Browns going to Carolina to compete with Sam Darnold for the starting spot.
