At the start of Tuesday’s Champions League fixtures, Group D was in a unique position. Only one point separated the group leader Tottenham Hotspur from Eichtract Frankfurt, who were at the bottom. The stage was set for a contest in which every team had a chance of qualifying for the Round of 16.

Tottenham Hotspur, who were facing French side Marseille away from home, needed only a draw to finish in second place and make it through to the Round of 16.

To make matters worse, Tottenham’s star forward, Heung Min Son, had to leave the game early on after suffering from a head injury.

From there, the Lilywhites staged a comeback to remember, that dragged on to the final minute of the match, and they made it through to the round of 16 of the Champions League. Former Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet equalised for them in the 54th minute, followed by a 95th-minute winner by Pierre Emille Hojberg.

Tottenham Hotspurs will play the Round of 16 of the Champions League for the first time since the 2019-20 season. It’s a big occasion for the players and celebrations in the changing room did not stop for them.

Here’s a glimpse of the Spur’s celebrations.

Brazilian right wing-back Emerson Royal shared this video from the dressing room where the players and the staff are dancing in joy. The winning goal scorer Hojberg is seen stripped down to his loincloths.

England captain and Tottenham talisman Harry Kane broke into a dance to celebrate the qualification. His awkward steps won the hearts of many, albeit with a bit of amusement.
