Buffalo Bills cornerback, Tre’Davious White suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in a week 4 match against the Miami Dolphins. Bills won the game against the Dolphins by 48-20.
Bills’ head coach Sean McDermott made the announcement highlighting the MRI that White would miss the rest of the campaign. White was covering wide receiver Tyreek Hill on a fourth-and-1 play when he was hurt on a crucial play in the third quarter of the Bills’ successful game against the Miami Dolphins, which led to a sack by defensive end Ed Oliver.

The Bills bench immediately expressed concern after learning of Tre’Davious White’s injury. He threw his helmet in anger before being encircled by his teammates and wheeled off the field.
Tre’Davious White’s most recent injury is disappointing because it happened less than two years after he tore his left ACL on Thanksgiving Day in 2021. He impressively demonstrated exceptional resiliency, making a determined comeback to the game precisely a year after his accident.

Tre’Davious White Jr. is a skilled cornerback who now competes in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills. He rose to fame while a member of the LSU Tigers, earning consensus All-American recognition twice. In 2016, he won the Thorpe Award as the best defensive back in the country.
White was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft (number 27 overall). He had an immediate impact in his first season, earning a position in the Pro Bowl as a rookie. Since Cornelius Bennett, a linebacker for the Bills in 1987, this was the first time a rookie has accomplished this feat.

White performed admirably while at LSU, playing in 45 games and racking up remarkable numbers including 178 tackles, 43 pass breakups, 12 interceptions, and three forced fumbles. His outstanding performances led to various honors, including being named to the first team of All-Americans in 2016 by renowned organizations including the AFCA, AP, and FWAA.
