Harry Maguire, the Manchester United captain and England defender, has scripted an unwanted record after England’s defeat to Italy in the UEFA Nations League match between the two sides. Maguire has now been relegated to a lower division five times in his career till date. Both England and Manchester United have also failed to win all the games this season that have seen Maguire in the starting lineup.

Here is a list of the five times the England no. 5 has suffered relegation:

Sheffield United, 2011-12

Maguire was playing as the centre-back for Sheffield in the 2011-12 season that saw them get relegated to League One from the Premier League. This was Maguire’s first senior season and he played a total of five matches for the side.

Hull City, 2014-15

After a four-year stint with his boyhood club Sheffield, Maguire joined Hull City in 2014-15. He was loaned away to Wigan Athletic after playing in only six matches. In his absence, Hull City were knocked off the Premier League into the Championship.
