The first half was a disaster for Manchester United after they went down by four goals to none in the derby against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. United fans were seen leaving the stadium even before the first half ended.

In a disaster for the Red Devils, two goals each were scored by Erling Halland and Phil Foden, taking Pep Guardiola’s men up by four goals in less than 40 minutes.

Sir Alex Ferguson, United legend and former manager, was also seen with a disappointed expression while seated at the Ethiad.

With these goals, Haaland has taken his PL goal count to 13 in just eight matches. 

The Manchester fans are visibly upset with the match and social media has broken into a frenzy. Memes and jokes were shared as fans were reminded of the Liverpool clash which they lost 5-0.

As the second half began, a glimmer of hope arrived for the Red Devils with new signing Antony netting a wonderful curling effort. However, that glimmer lasted only a few moments after Erling Haaland came back and scored a classic number 9 goal from a Kevin De Bruyne pass.

Erling Haaland’s father Alfie Haaland- the former Manchester City player, was present at the stadium to witness his son scoring the quickest third hattrick in the Premier League.

Phil Foden also scored his third goal joining Erling Haaland to score a hattrick in the match.
