The US Open is gearing up to begin the action soon. The qualifying rounds for the US Open 2022 will begin on August 23, while the main round will commence on August 29 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City.

While this year’s edition will not be able to see a few modern stars in action, it will, however, display many upcoming tennis players who are ready to take the viewers’ breath away.
The US Open 2022, similar to the previous editions, will showcase players competing for the top honours in men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles categories. The 142nd edition of the Grand Slam will also include senior and junior wheelchair tennis categories.

Schedule
The US Open qualifying rounds are set to begin on August 23 and will continue till August 26. The main round of the tournament is slated to begin on August 29 with the men’s and women’s first rounds.
The men’s and women’s first-round matches will begin on Monday, August 29, from 8:30 pm IST. The men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed quarterfinals will begin on Tuesday, September 6 from 9:30 pm IST.
Thursday, September 8, will see the beginning of the men’s doubles semifinals while the women’s doubles semifinals will start on Friday, September 9, 4:30 am IST. One between the men’s doubles final or the mixed doubles final event will begin on September 9 or 10 at 9:30 pm IST, with the women’s singles final also slated for September 10.

Telecast in India
The Sony Pictures Network is the official broadcaster of the US Open 2022 in India, while ESPN will telecast the tournament in the United States. Amazon Prime will be showing the Grand Slam tournament in the United Kingdom.
Selected matches of the US Open 2022 will be telecasted on Sony TEN 2 and Sony Six in India. The matches will also be available for streaming live on the SonyLIV app.
