India have already won the T20I series against England with their victory over the Three Lions in Birmingham on Saturday. However, fans were eager to watch the third and final match, partly to see whether Virat Kohli returns to form.

Kohli, however, did not perform substantially, as he scored 11 off six balls, with a strike rate of 183.33. However, the performance soon became the talking point for many as Kohli hit a boundary and a six.

It was English bowler David Willey who conceded both at the hands of Kohli. However, Kohli soon hit his ceiling as he was caught out by Jason Roy after six balls.

While many would not be happy with Kohli failing to return to form, some social media users took it to Twitter to highlight the shots that Kohli took. These met with mixed reactions as some called for the dismissal of Kohli from the Indian team while others appreciated the technique and skill of Virat Kohli.

The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour to England, where they have already played a Test, three T20Is and is scheduled to play three ODIs before they leave for West Indies.

The Men in Blue have won the T20Is, winning the first two matches. Kohli, who was absent in the first match, returned for the rest of the two, scoring a total of 12 runs.

Kohli has gone into a slump in recent years as he has been unable to replicate his earlier fiery form. Fans, pundits and legends alike have inquired regarding his dip in form, however, have failed to agree on a reason. Many greats of the game have suggested Kohli to take a sabbatical and return fresh to find his form, a suggestion that has not gone well with many fans.

The BCCI have kept on selecting him for International matches, however, Kohli is yet to return the favour on pitch. If the news coming out of the BCCI is to be believed, his form will be monitored from hereon and could have an effect on his selection for the future matches.
