A Manchester City fan slumped in the stands during the Champions League final and had to be carried out on a stretcher for medical assistance, during the Champions League final vs Inter Milan on Saturday.

The incident took place in the first half of the Champions League final at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium. Several concerned fans immediately called for stewards to assist the supporter. According to a local newspaper, medical personnel attending to the fan were observed administering oxygen as part of their treatment.

The cause of the supporter’s collapse is currently unknown. It is estimated that 20,000 Manchester City fans have purchased tickets for the final in Istanbul. Additionally, it is estimated that 5,000 extra supporters who did not have tickets traveled to the Turkish capital. Manchester City and Inter Milan were locked in a deadlock at the time of the incident.

During the match, there were few chances in the first half, but the most prominent chance fell to Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. Kevin De Bruyne’s perfect ball found the tall Norwegian, but his fast attempt from a challenging angle was denied by Inter custodian Andre Owas. Unfortunately, the great momentum generated by this early potential was dashed when Kevin De Bruyne was forced to leave the pitch with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

Kevin De Bruyne was forced to leave the pitch after 35 minutes of play. In a contest that stayed scoreless at 0-0, Phil Foden was brought in as his replacement.
