Aaron Rodgers, quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, was at the center of their loss against the Tennessee Titans at the Lambeau Field on Thursday. The four-time MVP and his team were booed by hundreds in their home stadium.
The Tennessee Titans won the Week 11 match-up 27-17.
In the post-match press conference, when Rodgers was asked ‘where do you go from here?’, he quickly said ‘home’. The 38-year-old was further asked to comment on the boos he received from the crowd.
Without reacting much, keeping a straight face, Aaron Rodgers said, “Interesting.”
Watch:
Green Bay’s offense, except for two-touchdown man Christian Watson, failed miserably against the Titans. Aaron Rodgers completed 24 of his 39 attempted passes for 227 yards with two touchdowns.
“We’ve got to play up to our potential. If we play up to our potential, we can win our last six games. I’m confident in that. Obviously I’ve got to play up to my potential. Tonight wasn’t it,” he said after the match.
The team, with a record of 4-7, is placed second on the NFC North table. Their playoff hopes are hanging by a thread.
Last week, Rodgers and co rallied from a two-touchdown, fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-28 in overtime. They broke a five-match losing streak.
But now the Packers have lost five out of their last six games. The team is struggling.
“Extremely disappointed right now to put on a performance like that,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur said. “I don’t even know what to say. It was nothing like a few days ago, and that’s why you’re only as good as your last game and every time you step out on that field, you’ve got to go out and do it.”
