The Detroit Lions faced the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season on Sunday. The Lions began the game on a strong note, as they took a 7-0 lead over the Vikings in the first quarter. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St Brown was the highlight of the first quarter, as he registered a 30-yard catch on 4th and 5.

The Vikings missed a field goal through Greg Joseph in the first quarter. They faced 4th and 6 from 33 yards soon after, and it was when Lions quarterback Jared Goff found Amon-Ra St Brown for a big gain inside the 5. Jamaal Williams opened the accounts for the Lions soon after.

Goff found Williams for a 17-yard gain right after to begin the drive. However, the Lions struggled to move to the other side of the field and they decided to go for a fourth and 5. Amon-Ra St Brown made a 30 yard catch from Goff subsequently and made a sprint that resulted in the Lions first and goal at the 2 yard.

Amon-Ra St Brown has been in impressive form since the season began, making 3 receiving touchdowns in the red zone till now. It is also the highest in the NFL and joint-highest with Cooper Kupp and Michael Thomas.

The 22-year-old is also the first wide receiver in the history of the NFL to register more than 8 receptions and 1 touchdown in 6 consecutive games. At the time of writing this article, he has registered 3 receptions for 45 yards, with an average of 15 yards per reception and 1 first down against the Vikings.

Amon-Ra St Brown has registered 107 receptions out of a possible 143 for 1,092 yards, 8 touchdowns, 9 carries for 129 yards and 1 rushing touchdown in his career till now.
