Novak Djokovic, the world’s number one tennis player made history again as he won the 19th grand slam title on Sunday after defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas. It was not only a memorable day for Djokovic but one of his lucky fans, who received his racquet as a souvenir, soon after Djokovic won the title.

During the post-match press conference, Novak Djokovic revealed why he handed his racquet to the kid, who was motivating him throughout his game.

He said, “ He was in my ear the entire match basically, especially when I was two sets to love down”. “He was encouraging me. He was actually giving me tactics as well. He was like hold your serve, get an easy first ball, then dictate, go to his backhand. He was coaching me literally.”

He further added, “ I found that very cute. So I felt like giving the racquet to the best person after the match. That was kind of my gratitude for him sticking with me and supporting me.
