Erling Haaland has made a flying start to his career in English football after netting a stunning hattrick for Manchester City against Crystal Palace. The Cityzens were trailing 0-2 until the 53rd minute when Bernardo Silva reduced the goal difference via a shot that deflected and entered Palace’s goal.

After that it was all about Haaland. The Norwegian striker took matters into his own hands and scored a brilliant header via a Phil Foden cross. Have a look at the goal right here:

Man City kept up their relentless attacks in the second half and Haaland found the back of the net once again after Alvarez and Bernardo Silva played a one-two and the latter cut back to John Stones. Haaland’s goal made the Etihad Stadium erupt in cheer. Have a look at the strike right here:

City held on to their 3-2 lead and tried to expand the difference further via two attempts by Silva. However, as fate would have it, Haaland proved to be their hero for the night once again. Ilkay Gundogan played Haaland on with a through ball and despite having two defenders on him, the 22-year-old made no mistake in scripting his first hattrick in a Manchester City shirt:

Pep Guardiola did not take any chances once the score was set at 4-2 and decided to substitute Halaand for Sergio Gomez. The City manager was seen holding the Norwegian striker in a tight embrace as he walked off the field.

Erling Haaland’s first hattrick in a Manchester City shirt, which is also his 13th career hattrick, has made him tie Argentine legend Sergio Aguero’s record for scoring six goals in the first four competitive games for City.

Football fans were gearing up for the Haaland vs Darwin Nunez tussle this season,  but the latter is yet to show his mettle for Liverpool after being banned for three matches in their encounter against Palace.
