Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James attended his son’s basketball game at his alma mater St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School. While he coached his son throughout the game, a comment made by a PA announcer did not sit well with James.

Reportedly, the PA announcer said that James’ son Bronny got a foul call because he was playing in a gym which is named after LeBron James. Following this, the four-time NBA MVP interrupted the game and went over to the announcer to confront him.

The incident happened during the final minutes of the game. With Wildcat Select leading 67-62, James stood up from his seat near the baseline to yell at the PA announcer who was sitting at midcourt. It was only a few minutes later that he calmed down and went back to his seat.

As for the game, Bronny’s team Strive for Greatness lost the game 73-69 in overtime. The game was a part of the “Battle Summer Showcase,” – a tournament that highlights some of the best high school talents in the Midwest.

As for James, this will be just the second time in 11 years that he will not be a part of the NBA Finals. LA Lakers were beaten in the NBA playoffs by the Phoenix Suns. Despite the loss, Lakers’ general manager said that James remains a “championship pillar” of the team.

The Phoenix Suns ended the Lakers’ NBA title defense in emphatic style, in a 113-100 victory to win their best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series in six games.

It marked the first time in 15 playoff appearances that James — a four-time NBA champion — was eliminated in the first round.

James will be the man to carry a franchise and whether he can still hope to match legendary Michael Jordan’s six titles, the general manager said.

The Lakers had only a couple of months after they clinched the club’s 17th championship in the NBA’s quarantine bubble in Florida before the new season began.
