The NFL Week 5 resumed with its final London game on Sunday, October 9, when the New York Giants beat the Green Bay Packers 27-22 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the English capital. Giants running back Saquon Barkley was one of the best players on the field on Sunday and he delivered a message to the fans after the game.

“What’s up everybody…I want to give a shoutout to all the fans that came out to London. The atmosphere was crazy, we came up with a dub (sic),” Barkley said in a video from the field that was uploaded by the NFL on its social media platforms.

The 25-year-old running back was one of the best players on the field on Sunday as he registered 13 carries for 70 yards, 1 rushing touchdown and 3 receptions for 36 yards against the Green Bay Packers.

He was forced to leave the field following an injury scare in the initial minutes of the first quarter after he was hit hard by linebacker De’Vondre Campbell. Barkley was taken to the medical tent after that injury, however, returned to the field after some time.

The highlight of his performance in the game came in the fourth and final quarter when he scored a two-yard touchdown to register his maiden end zone play against the Packers. The touchdown helped the Giants to take a seven-point lead.

Barkley has registered 84 carries for 463 yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, 15 receptions for 107 yards and 1 fumble in 2022 so far. He has also recorded 743 carries for 3,400 yards, 21 rushing touchdowns, 205 receptions for 1,500 yards, 8 receiving touchdowns and 4 fumbles in his career so far.

Barkley has suffered several injuries since he was drafted in 2018, some of which were serious. The running back suffered a torn ACL against the Chicago Bears in 2020 which ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
