New York Jets rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson had to leave the game against the Cincinnati Bengals midway after a hard hit in the first half. Wilson went down in the field following the hit by Jessie Bates of the Bengals and walked off to the tunnel. However, he is now back on the sidelines, warming up for the second half.

The 22-year-old has been one of the best offensive players for the Jets this season and helped them with big plays in the ongoing 2022 NFL season. He was one of the Jets’ most crucial players against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 and registered 8 receptions for 108 yards, 2 touchdowns and the game-winner with 22 seconds on the clock remaining.

Wilson has registered 4 receptions for 46 yards, with an average of 11.5 yards per reception in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals till the time of writing this article. His performance in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns helped him to win the AFC Rookie of the Week award. He was also decent against the Baltimore Ravens in the opening week, making 4 receptions out of 8 targets for 52 yards.

Apart from the award, his performance against the Browns also helped him become the first rookie in the history of the Jets to register more than 100 reception yards and 2 touchdowns in a single game. He has also made the highest 15 yards+ receptions among all rookies in the NFL this year (5).

He has registered 12 receptions out of 22 targets for 154 yards, with an average of 12.8 yards per reception, 2 touchdowns, 8 first downs and 1 carry in -2 yards in September.
