Whether or not Cleveland Guardians manager in Major League Baseball Terry Francona will ride his beloved scooter to the games again will depend on Cleveland Police and their skills. Francona’s scooter was stolen over the weekend from his home police in Cleveland are looking for it.

Cleveland Police said on Tuesday that the 63-year-old’s black 2018 Genuine MC Buddy 170i scooter was stolen from his apartment building between 9:30 PM on January 20 and 8 AM on January 21, based on information provided to them by a Guardians staffer.

Cleveland Police told TMZ that the staffer also revealed that Francona had taken the ignition key with him while parking the vehicle. It led them to believe that the thief tampered with the scooter before stealing it.

 Francona said told the police that he had not given the scooter to anyone. The police have launched an official investigation into the matter. However, they are yet to name a suspect or divulge any further information on the case.

Francona has been managing the Guardians since October 2012 and he entered the 2022 MLB season as the longest-tenured manager in the league. In the 2022 season, he led the Guardians to their first MLB playoff appearance since 2020 and also won the American League Manager of the Year award, beating Baltimore Oriole’s Brandon Hyde and Scott Servais of the Seattle Mariners.
