WWE fans across the world were handed a shock on Wednesday, November 2, when reports emerged that the Saudi Arabian government had shared an intelligence report with the United States, suggesting an attack from Iran during the Crown Jewel 2022 event in the country on November 5.
As per reports, Saudi Arabia, the United States and several other neighbouring countries have raised their security status to high alerts, following the intelligence report. Saudi Arabia is the host country of the 2022 edition of the WWE Crown Jewel, as the event will be organised in Mrsool Park in capital Riyadh.

What is WWE Crown Jewel?
The WWE Crown Jewel is a professional wrestling event, the fourth edition of which will be held in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh on November 5, 2022. It is a pay-per-view as well as live streaming event, which will be produced by the WWE. The 2022 edition will be held in Mrsool Park, which will also mark the second time the event is being held at the event, also the first time since 2018.
The 2022 WWE Crown Jewel is also the eighth event the organisation will be holding in Saudi Arabia as a part of the Saudi Vision 2030 partnership.
The Crown Jewel event is known widely for several interesting matches and the highlight of the 2022 edition will be when Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns takes on Logan Paul.

The 2022 edition of the event in Saudi Arabia will also see several other top stars such as Brock Lesner, Damian Priest, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Bianca Belair. Brock Lesner will be facing Bobby Lashley in one of the matches, while The OC will be facing The Judgment Day in a six-man tag-team match.
While reports of a possible attack in Saudi Arabia from Iran has been making rounds, the WWE is yet to make a statement about its event. However, reports have suggested that the WWE is looking to go forward with the Crown Jewel 2022 on November 5 as the company will be deploying additional security protocols and emergency procedures during the event.
