The FIFA World Cup
2022 semifinal between Argentina and Croatia will kick off on Tuesday at Lusail
Stadium in Doha. Both teams were runners-up in the two most recent World Cup
tournaments. Argentina lost the semifinal in 2014 to Germany and Croatia lost
the semifinal in 2018 to France.
Croatia registered a victory over Brazil on penalties to enter the semifinals on Friday. Rodrygo missed the first penalty for Brazil while the final miss by Marquihos concluded the match with Croatia’s win at 4-2 in penalties.

Argentina defeated the Netherlands on Saturday with a 3-4 in penalties. Emiliano Martinez made a few fine defences in the final moments to take his team into the semifinals.
The victory on Tuesday
will put any one of the teams just one step away from the World Cup trophy.
When is the kick-off?
The semifinal between
Argentina and Croatia will start at 2:00 pm EST. Argentina holds the record of
never having lost a semifinal in the tournament and reached the final each
time. The country is playing for the semifinals for the sixth time since the tournament
began. It entered the semifinals in 1930, 1978, 1986, 1990 and 2014 before the
2022 World Cup.

Croatia has qualified
for the semifinals for the third time in FIFA history. For the first time in
1998, then in 2018 before the 2022 World Cup.
