Michael Madden, John Madden’s son paid a video tribute to the NFL legend during the half-time of the New England Patriots vs Minnesota Vikings Thanksgiving game on Thursday. 

Who are Michael and Joseph Madden?

John Madden and his wife Virginia have two sons – John and Michael.

Michael was born in 1964 and Joseph was born a few years later in 1966.

Reports indicate that Michael played football for Harvard University, and Joseph attended Brown University.

According to ESPN, both sons will appear in the new documentary All-Madden, which will air on FOX on December 25.

John Madden and the NFL

John Madden transformed NFL coaching, then NFL broadcasting, before becoming the face of one of the most successful video games ever created.

Madden’s influence on football has been nothing short of astounding. Voters inducted him into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006. During his 10-year head coaching tenure, he led the Oakland Raiders to the 1976 Super Bowl. From 1979 to 2008, after retiring from coaching, Madden worked as a color commentator for NFL telecasts, earning him 16 Sports Emmy Awards.

Madden provided commentary for games broadcast by CBS, Fox, ABC, and NBC on all four major American television networks. He also provided his name, expertise, and commentary for the Madden NFL video game series (1988-present), which went on to become the best-selling American football video game franchise of all time. In 2006, Madden was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
