Aizaz Khan scored just 4 runs of 7 balls against Singapore in the 2022 Asia Cup Qualifier match on August 20, 2022. The team won the match after chasing its opposing team’s 146 runs target. He is all set to take part in the Asia Cup T20 tournament in the United Arab Emirates. He is also the ex-captain of the Hong Kong cricket team. He will now play against India on Wednesday.

Aizaz Khan is a Hong Kong cricketer. He was born on March 21, 1993 in Hong Kong and made his national team debut in 2009 and has ever since been part of the team on a regular basis. He played for the Hong Kong Under-19s in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup. Later, the player made his world cricket league debut at the 2011 World Cricket League Division Three. There he helped the team in earning the promotion to WCL’s Divison Two. In the same tournament, Aizaz Khan made his List-A debut also which was against Uganda and subsequently played in four List-A matches. In all, he scored 71 runs at a mere average of 17.75 with his highest score being 33.

Aizaz took ten wickets from eight matches in the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates, trailing only Nizakat Khan (11 wickets) for Hong Kong. These came at an average of 17.40 and included a 5/25 performance against the USA, who were all out at 101 against Hong Kong’s score of 177/4. The game was for the tournament’s 11th-place play-off.

In November 2014, he made his ODI debut for the country against Papua New Guinea in Australia and scored 42 runs, his List A total.  He was named to Hong Kong’s squad for the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier tournament in August 2018. He was named to Hong Kong’s squad for the 2018 Asia Cup after the team won the qualifier tournament. He was named Hong Kong’s captain for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in December 2018. With five wickets in three matches, he was Hong Kong’s leading wicket-taker in the tournament. He was named to the country’s squad for the 2019 ICC World Cup Cricket League Division Two tournament in Namibia in April 2019. 

In May 2022, he was named in Hong Kong’s side for the 2022 Uganda Cricket World Cup Challenge League B tournament. He was named to the squad that will take part in the year’s Asia Cup in UAE.
