American football cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. plays for the National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings (NFL). In the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Vikings.

On September 28, 2000, in Dacula, Georgia, Booth Jr. was born. He studied at Lawrenceville, Georgia’s Archer High School. He made 162 tackles and 13 interceptions throughout the course of his career. In 2019 Under Armour All-America Game, he participated. He committed to play collegiate football at Clemson University and was a five-star prospect.

As a true freshman at Clemson in 2019, Booth Jr. participated in 13 games and made four tackles but was dismissed from Clemson’s game against Louisville after punching a Cardinals player during a punt return.. He started four out of the 11 games he played in as a sophomore in 2020, recording 27 tackles, two interceptions, one sack, and a fumble recovery that resulted in a touchdown. In 2021, he also participated for the Tigers and led them with three interceptions. Booth was named to the All-ACC second team by the league’s coaches in 2020. Booth declared for the 2022 NFL Draft on January 9, 2022.

The Minnesota Vikings selected Booth with the 42nd overall choice in the 2022 NFL Draft. His salary is set at $8.3 million over a four-year term, including a $3.2 million signing bonus.

When Booth was a little boy, he was diagnosed as his Osgood-Schlatter Disease, which causes swelling and pain below the knee. He got surgery on his right patellar tendon in January 2020 due to tendonitis in his knee during high school.
