Anmolpreet Singh is a right-handed batsman from India who currently plays for Punjab at the domestic. He also plays in the Indian Premier League for the Mumbai Indians (IPL).

On March 28, 1998, he was born into a sporting family. Satvinderpal Singh, Anmolpreet’s father, was a former captain of the Indian handball team. Tejpreet Singh, Singh’s younger brother, also plays cricket.

Singh made 753 runs with an incredible average of 125.5 in his debut Ranji Season.

In 2015, he made his debut for Punjab against Odisha in a T20 competition. Singh, who captained the Under-19 Punjab team, scored 1154 runs in the Cooch Behar Trophy. He accomplished this feat in only nine tournament matches.

Singh was named to the Under-19 World Cup team in 2016. He made a significant contribution to his squad, scoring a crucial fifty against Sri Lanka in the semifinals.

Singh represented Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2014-15. In the tournament, he appeared in two matches for Punjab. In the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy, he was allowed to replace Yuvraj Singh. He made his Ranji debut against Himachal Pradesh and struck a fifty. In only his third first-class match against Chhattisgarh, he scored 267 runs.

Singh was picked to the India Blue squad for the 2018-19 Duleep Trophy. In the same year, he was named to India A for the 2018-19 Deodhar Trophy.

His solid achievements earned him a place on India A’s trip to New Zealand. In 2019, he was picked to the India Blue team for the Duleep Trophy for the third time. He was a member of India C’s squad for the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy.

In December 2018, Singh was purchased by the Mumbai Indians, the most successful IPL franchise. He was purchased for the base price of Rs. 80 lakhs. Anmolpreet made his debut in 2019 against the Chennai Super Kings.

Prabhsimran Singh, his cousin, was also signed by ‘Kings XI Punjab’ in 2019. Prabhsimran was purchased for a staggering 4.8 crores.
