Asif Ali is a Pakistani professional cricketer. He represents
Northern in first-class cricket and Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super
League
.

Asif was one of the thirty-three players handed a central
contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the 2018–19 season in August 2018.

He was the highest run-scorer with 369 runs in six matches
for Faisalabad in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

He was selected in Punjab’s team for the 2018 Pakistan Cup in
April 2018. With 328 runs in four matches, he was the leading run-scorer for
Punjab in the tournament.

He was chosen to play for the Edmonton Royals on June 3,
2018 in the players’ draft for the first edition of the Global T20 Canada
competition.

Asif Ali was picked to Cape Town Blitz’s team for the first
Mzansi Super League T20 event in October 2018.

He was picked to Sindh’s team for the 2019 Pakistan Cup in
March 2019. He was appointed to the Cape Town Blitz squad for the 2019 Mzansi
Super League campaign in September 2019.

In September 2019, he was chosen to Northern’s Quaid-e-Azam
Trophy squad for the 2019–20 season. He was picked to play for the Dhaka
Platoon in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League in November 2019.

He was picked to the Jamaica Tallawahs roster for the 2020
Caribbean Premier League in July 2020. The Jaffna Stallions selected him for
the first edition of the Lanka Premier League in October 2020. He was picked to
Northern’s team for the 2020–21 Pakistan Cup in January 2021.

He was included in Pakistan’s Twenty20 International (T20I)
squad for the West Indies series in March 2018. On April 1, 2018, he made his
T20I debut for Pakistan against the West Indies. On July 13, 2018, he made his
ODI debut for Pakistan against Zimbabwe.

After the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed their final
fifteen-man roster for the tournament in May 2019, he was included in
Pakistan’s team for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. He was picked to Pakistan’s
team for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in September 2021.
