Bernhard Raimann is an offensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League(NFL). Raimann was the 77th overall pick of the Colts in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Raimann was born in Steinbrunn, Austria, on September 23, 1997. At the age of 14, he started playing American football for the Vienna Vikings’ youth squad. Raimann went to Ballsportgymnasium in Vienna and spent his junior year as an exchange student at Delton Kellogg High School in Delton, Michigan. While on exchange, he resided with a host family that included Tyden Ferris, a future college teammate, and Rollie Ferris, a former Central Michigan football player. After a year, he returned to Austria where, having graduated from Ballsportgymnasium Wien, he finished his conscription into the Austrian military. After serving his country in the military, Raimann committed to playing college football at Central Michigan.

During his first two seasons at Central Michigan, Raimann played tight end. Over the course of his first two seasons, he caught 20 receptions for 164 yards. After his sophomore season, he switched to offensive tackle and started all six of the Chippewas’ games during the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season. Raimann was selected the Mid-American Conference’s Offensive Player of the Year by Pro Football Focus in 2021.

In 2021, he made the first team All-MAC after starting 12 games at the position. In order to focus on his preparation for the 2022 NFL Draft, skipped the team’s bowl game. He has also earned the MAC Medal of Excellence winner for academic and athletic excellence.

Bernhard Raimann was selected by the Colts in the third round of the NFL Draft as the 77th overall player. The total value of the $1.03 million signing bonus and the four-year rookie contract, which is valued $5.3 million is guaranteed in full at the time of signing. Raimann’s base pay will be $700,000 in 2022, $946,000 in 2023, $1.1 million in 2024, and $1.4 million in 2025.
