Chad Henne, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs was brought in for the divisional playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars after starter Patrick Mahomes struggled with his ankle. The two sides locked horns at the Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday. 

Who is Chad Henne?

Henne was born on July 2, 1985, in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. He played 43 scholastic games for the Bulldogs (42 starts) during four seasons, making a record of 33-10.

At the end of his junior year in 2002, Henne was offered 40 scholarships from various collegiate athletic programs. He narrowed his college options down to five schools Miami, Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee, and Penn State. Prior to his first game as a senior, Henne said he plans to become a Wolverine at the University of Michigan.

Henne went to the Michigan State University. In 2004, he entered the season as a freshman for the Wolverines and was third on the depth chart behind Matt Gutierrez and Clayton Richard. Henne finished his first career game with a 43–10 win, completing 14 of 24 passes for 142 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

The Miami Dolphins selected him in the second round of the 2008 draft. He was with Jacksonville Jaguars from 2012 to 2013. In 2022, the 15th-year quarterback is playing his fifth season with the Chiefs.

Chad Henne is married to Brittany Hartman. He is 37 years old. As per celebritynetworth, he has a net worth of $7 million. 

Henne did not play a snap all through the 2018 season. The Chiefs activated him off the injured reserve for Super Bowl LIV. The team beat San Francisco 49ers 31–20 to win the championship.

Chad Henne signed a one-year, $2,000,000 contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, including a $880,000 signing bonus, $2,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $2,000,000.
