Chase Young, who was born on April 14, 1999, is an early career player for Washington Football Team and is known for holding the defensive end on the field. Young was also associated with American football at the college level and played for the Buckeyes at Ohio State University.

Between 2017 and 2019, the 22-year-old appeared in 38 games at Ohio State University and set a sweeping record of 30.5 sacks, eight defensed passes, 10 forces fumbles and 99 tackles, out of which 69 were performed solo, according to the stats presented on Washington Football Team’s official website.

Young, who is a native of Maryland, has also booked a series of accolades under his name through his sporting career. He was named with the Chuck Bednarik Awards and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and was a finalist in the Heisman Trophy.

Young was also named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and the Big Ten Defensive Lineman during his time at the Ohio State University, according to the Washington Football Team’s website.

The Washington Football Team, in the 2020 NFL draft, selected Young in the first round (second overall).

The team has relied on Young’s performance as the primary defense in the hope to regain their title as the champions of NFC East. However, according to reports from Associated Press, rookie Chase Young failed to live up to the lofty expectations through the first two weeks of the ongoing season.

Recently, Young was named to the 2021 Pro Bowl alongside Justin Jefferson, who plays for the Minnesota Vikings. He was also nominated for the renowned and competitive ‘Best Breakthrough Athlete Award’, which was later given to NBA player LaMelo Ball, who plays for the Charlotte Hornets. Young also made it to the NFL Top 100 Players of 2021 list was seeded on the 61st spot.
