Who is Debra Clark?

In August 1986, Jim Brown reportedly assaulted his live-in girlfriend Debra Clark following an argument.

Clark, who was 22 at the time, was treated for a bruise under her eye.

She told the cops at the time that the fight was “about a jealousy thing that happened a few days ago.”

During the fight, Brown allegedly hit her.

″She ran into one of the bedrooms to get away from him and locked herself in and called us from the bedroom,” Sgt. Chuck Urso told local media at the time.

Brown was taken into custody without incident and released on $5,000 bail less than four hours after his arrest.

The charges were eventually dropped after Clark said she did not want him prosecuted.

“It was definitely overdramatized. If a telephone call goes to the police station and they arrive, naturally the media’s going to get into it. Basically, we had a lovers’ quarrel, and everything is fine now,” she later said in an interview.
