Shaka Hislop, an ESPN soccer pundit, collapsed during a live broadcast on Sunday night and is now recovering.

While talking about the friendly between AC Milan and Real Madrid on the pitch at the Rose Bowl, the former goaltender fell in the direction of co-host Dan Thomas.

As the 54-year-old was being treated by medical professionals, the broadcast abruptly cut to commercial.

Thomas tweeted that Hislop was aware and receiving medical attention after kickoff and gave a good update during the break.

Hislop’s 15-year professional career, which concluded in 2007, spanned the Premier League for Reading, Newcastle United, West Ham, and Portsmouth as well as the Major League Soccer for FC Dallas. He and his wife Desha have five children together.

During the 2006 World Cup, he also participated on the international stage for Trinidad & Tobago.
