Elisa Montero is the wife of Argentina manager and former player Lionel Scaloni. She will be cheering for Argentina as they take on the Netherlands in the quarter-final fixture of the FIFA World Cup, which is a must-win game for the South American nation if they have to keep the dream of winning the World Cup alive.
A lot of onus will be on Lionel Scaloni as he guides Argentina in a World Cup campaign that is most likely the last of their star man Lionel Messi. Having lost to Saudi Arabia in their opening fixture but managing a win against Mexico, Argentina now needs to win the match against the Netherlands to move to the semis.
However, a loss would mean that Lionel Messi’s last FIFA World Cup run will come to a sad end.
Who is Elisa Montero?
“At 29 I was left with an injury after the World Cup. I signed a contract with Lazio. I came from playing ten years in Spain and 6 months later, they called me to play in Mallorca… That’s where I met my wife,” Scaloni had told in an interview.
Montero and Scaloni gave birth to their first son Ian Scaloni in 2012. Their second son, Noah Scaloni, was born in May 2016.
It is not clear what Montero’s profession is. The couple is very private and although they have appeared in public several times, not a lot of information on them is available.
