Gabriel Davis, the wide receiver for Buffalo Bills had a remarkable 2021 postseason. In two postseason games last season, he recorded an astounding 10 catches for 242 yards and five touchdowns. The 23-year-old will again play a significant role in the Bills’ 2022 NFL campaign. He is also having a pretty decent 2022 preseason. In his 10 snaps in the match against Denver Broncos, Davis accumulating 47 yards on two catches, including a stunning 28-yard touchdown to cap off Josh Allen’s lone drive of the contest.

Who is Gabriel Davis?

Gabriel Davis is an American football wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). Born on April 1, 1999, he played college football at University of Central Florida and was drafted by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. 

Davis participated in and started all 13 games as a true freshman in 2017 for UCF, accumulating 27 receptions for 391 yards and four touchdowns. He started 12 of 13 games as a sophomore in 2018 and had 53 receptions for 815 yards and seven touchdowns. With the 128th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills picked Davis. On May 8, 2020, Davis agreed to a four-year, $3.99 million deal with the Bills, which also included a $699,000 signing bonus. He scored his first professional touchdown on a six-yard reception from Josh Allen in Week 2’s matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Davis will grab four catches the following week for a career-high 81 yards. Overall, Davis had 35 receptions for 599 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns at the end of his rookie campaign.

Against the New York Jets in Week 10 of the 2021 campaign, Davis caught all three of his targets for a season-high 105 yards. Davis played in 16 games in all of the 2021 season, four of which he started. He caught 35 passes out of 63 attempts for a total of 539 yards and six touchdowns.

During the 42-36 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round, Davis had a breakout game, catching eight passes for a career-high 201 yards and setting an NFL record by scoring four receiving touchdowns. In NFL history, he became just the ninth player to have 200+ receiving yards in a playoff game.
