Garrett Wilson plays wide receiver for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). The Jets selected him in the tenth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

On July 22, 2000, Wilson was born in Chicago, Illinois. At the age of 11, he relocated to Texas from Dublin, Ohio. Wilson graduated from Lake Travis High School, where he and Charlie Brewer won the 6A state championship in 2016. Wilson went on to shatter numerous Lake Travis wide receiver records, including career receptions (204), yards (3,359), and touchdowns. In the 2019 All-American Bowl, Wilson participated. He pledged to attend Ohio State University to play collegiate football there.

The five-star recruit began his studies at Ohio State a semester early and participated in all 14 games as a crucial reserve true freshman in the fall . In 2020, Wilson started every game for the Buckeyes and was named to the first team of the Big Ten Conference . He tied for eighth in the FBS with 12 receiving touchdowns in 11 starts and returned punts, earning him second-team Associated Press All-American and all-conference honours in 2021. Wilson dropped out of the team’s 2022 Rose Bowl game to focus on getting ready for the NFL draught after missing one game in the 2021 season due to concussion protocol.

The New York Jets drafted Wilson with the 10th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The wide receiver inked a four-year, $20.55 million contract with the New York Jets.
