Haider Ali is a professional Pakistani cricketer. 
On September 1, 2020, he made his international cricket debut for Pakistan.

On 10 December 2018, he made his Twenty20 debut for
Rawalpindi in the 2018–19 National T20 Cup.

He was selected as a Supplementary category player in the
2020 Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft by Peshawar Zalmi in December 2019.
He became the PSL’s youngest fifty-scorer on March 10, 2020.

He was picked to Pakistan’s team for the 2019 ACC
Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh in November 2019. On November 14, 2019,
he made his List A cricket debut for Pakistan against Afghanistan in the
Emerging Teams Cup. He was chosen vice-captain of Pakistan’s squad for the 2020
Under-19 Cricket World Cup in December 2019.

Prior to the 2020–21 season, the Pakistan Cricket Board
(PCB)
handed him a central contract in the newly constituted Emerging Players’
category in May 2020. He was picked to a 29-man team for Pakistan’s COVID-19
pandemic visit to England in June 2020.

Ali, however, was one of three Pakistani players to test
positive with COVID-19 on June 22, 2020. Despite the fact that he had shown no
previous symptoms of the virus, he was recommended to go into self-isolation.

He was picked in Pakistan’s Twenty20 International (T20I)
squad on August 21, also for the England series. On September 1, 2020, he made
his T20I debut for Pakistan against England. He scored 54 runs in his maiden
T20I encounter, becoming the first Pakistani cricketer to achieve a fifty in a
T20I contest.

On November 1, 2020, he made his ODI debut for Pakistan
against Zimbabwe.

Ali was picked to Pakistan’s teams for their tours of
England and the West Indies in June 2021. After violating the bio-secure bubble
during the 2021 Pakistan Super League competition, he was pulled from
Pakistan’s teams on June 24, 2021.

He was selected vice-captain of the Pakistan Shaheens for
their tour of Sri Lanka in October 2021.
