Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms on a five-year contract extension worth $255 million, according to NFL. The contract makes him the highest-paid player in NFL history. The deal comprises a no-trade clause and around $180 million in guaranteed money. The contract will play the quarterback for more than $51 million per season. It marks the first no-trade clause in the Eagles’ history.

“The #Eagles and Jalen Hurts agreed to terms on a five-year, $255 million contract extension that makes him the highest-paid player in NFL history, sources tell me and @RapSheet,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero tweeted. “@AgentNicoleLynn negotiated the deal, which includes $179.304M in guarantees and a no-trade clause,” he added.

Who is Nicole Lynn?

Nicole Lynn is the president of football operations at Klutch Sports Group, with major NFL names a part of her past and present client roster. She represents several active NFL players including Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. Her other notable NFL clients include Bailey Zappe, Myles Garrett, Evan Neal, Jedrick Wills, Ed Ingram, Malik Jefferson, and Marvin Wilson.

Lynn studied law at Oklahoma while interning with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA). According to a report by Sports Illustrated, her initial goal was to become a financial advisor. She started her career on Wall Street. Soon, she decided to switch her career to become a sports agent.

Lynn wanted to teach professional athletes and lead them toward financial success to prolong their careers on the field.

The 34-year-old has had a lot of firsts in her career. In 2015, she became the first female sports agent for PlayersRep.

Lynn was the first black woman to represent a top-three NFL Draft pick in 2019. In 2023, She was also the first Black woman to represent a player at the Super Bowl.
