Jameson Williams might miss the start of rookie training camp on July 23, due to a knee injury.

Jameson Williams is an American football wide receiver with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League(NFL). He was born on March 26, 2001. He played collegiate football for Ohio State prior to moving to Alabama in 2021. Here he was named an All-American. In the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Lions selected Williams. 

Williams started his college career at Ohio State. In his first year, he caught six receptions for 112 yards and a score. He collected nine catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns during his sophomore season, starting six of those games. He also beat Clemson in the 2021 Sugar Bowl with a 45-yard touchdown reception. After this, he was transferred to Alabama following the season.

Here, Jameson Williams was given the starting role for the Crimson Tide before to the start of his first year. In addition to returning three kickoffs for 177 yards and two touchdowns, he also grabbed an 81-yard touchdown pass in a 63-14 victory over Southern Miss, earning him the title of SEC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Williams was selected as a first-team All-SEC, All-American, and co-Special Teams Player of the Year for the league. In the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship game, Williams sustained an ACL tear. After the title game, he was declared for the 2022 NFL Draft and started his recovery from the injury.
