The Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon is suspected of shooting a 13-year-old boy from his neighborhood.

The child that Mixon is accused of shooting was supposedly playing with a nerf gun when Mixon opened fire 11 times, striking the child in the leg.

Five hours after reacting to a report of “shots fired” in Anderson Township that left a child injured, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies entered the residence of Bengals running back Joe Mixon early on Tuesday morning.

Mixon participated in Super Bowl LVI in 2022 and was also named to the Pro Bowl.

Mixon was compelled to stop playing after starting the first six games of the 2020 campaign due to a right foot injury. He finished the season with 119 rushes for 428 yards and 21 receptions for 138 yards and another score.

Mixon became the only Bengal to exceed 1,000 rushing yards twice in 2018 and 2019, joining Corey Dillon (six), Cedric Benson (three), James Brooks (three), and Rudi Johnson (three).

As a starter in 2018, Mixon set a new record for the NFL in rushing yards with 1,168 yards gained in just one season.

Joe Mixon’s controversies and allegations-

A warrant for the Bengals running back’s arrest was issued in February 2023 after he reportedly pointed a gun at a woman in downtown Cincinnati. The warrant, acquired by Evan Millward of WCPO, reveals that on January 21, police claim Mixon pointed a gun at a woman.

He reportedly told her, “You should be popped in the face, I should shoot you, the police [can’t] get me. The charges against Mixon were subsequently dropped by a county judge, and the arrest warrant was withdrawn. Whether or not these two incidents are connected in any manner is currently unknown.

In March 2023, Mixon reportedly shot a juvenile in Anderson Township. Deputies first responded to a complaint of gunfire at the 7900 block of Ayers Road at 8:30 p.m. (local time). A young person was taken to the hospital with minor wounds, but it is unclear how the wounds were sustained.

Mixon invested in a 1.13-acre property that was bought back in July 2021 and is close to the Coldstream Country Club. Other opulent mansions surround the neighborhood, which is vacant.

He also disposed of his four-bedroom home in the Anderson Township neighborhood of Cincinnati in 2021. The house was initially purchased in October 2020 for $760,000 and sold for $790,000.

The initial home was constructed in 2015 and features a wet bar, wine cellar, and home theatre. Mixon characterized it as “almost new” when he was selling it. Mixon is remaining in the same neighborhood despite moving houses because of his dedication to the Bengals.
