Kyle Hamilton is an American football safety who plays for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft by the Ravens as their 14th overall pick.

Trent was born on March 16th, 2001 in Greece- where his father Derrick Hamilton played European League basketball. In fact, the 6’4” Kyle received a basketball scholarship himself, before he ever received one for football. Hamilton’s early years were spent abroad until his father retired from basketball, which led the family to return to the states and take up base in Atlanta. There, Hamilton attended the Marist School in Brookhaven, Georgia, and began to play safety and wide receiver for their football team. His talent was put on the national stage when in 2019 he took part in the All-American Bowl.

He committed to the University of Notre Dame following his graduation from high school. He played in 13 games in 2019 during his freshman year, including one start, in a season during which he recorded 41 tackles, four interceptions as well as a touchdown. His performances won him the accolade of being named a Freshman All-American by the Football Writers Association of America.
He took on the role of a full-time starter in his sophomore year in 2020, a season in which he recorded 63 successful tackles, six pass break ups and a single interception. He was also named first-team all-ACC. At the end of 2021, he declared for the 2022 NFL Draft, and was widely considered as one of the top prospects.

Hamilton is considered a high-quality and a generational talent, possessing the frame of a linebacker, as well as the agility of a defensive back. His long strides help him cover a lot of ground in quick time, and he also has an excellent change of direction, especially considering his size.  His tackling abilities are also exceptional, and he does not shy away from physical contact whatsoever.
