Harvey’s coaching career started in 2008 when she joined Arsenal Women’s Football Club as an assistant coach. Under her guidance, Arsenal achieved great success, winning three consecutive Women’s Super League titles from 2011 to 2013 and the FA Women’s Cup in 2011 and 2013.
In 2013, Harvey was appointed as the head coach of the Seattle Reign FC, a professional women’s soccer team in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States.
