Marlon Humphrey is an American football player who plays for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League. He plays the cornerback position for the defensive team. Humphrey was drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Marlon Humphrey was born on July 8, 1996, in Hoover city Alabama and attended Hoover High School. He committed to play for the University of Alabama’s Alabama Crimson Tide football team. His stay at the college was for 3 years from 2014-16. He redshirted his freshman season at the college and only played two seasons there. During that time, he recorded a total of 81 tackles and 13 pass deflections.

NFL Career:- 

Humphrey was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens as the sixteenth overall pick in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.  Humphrey was given a fully guaranteed 4-year, $11.84 million contract by the Baltimore Ravens on May 5, 2017, along with a $6.75 million signing bonus. In 16 games and five starts, he finished his rookie season in 2017 with 34 combined tackles, 11 pass deflections, and 2 interceptions. He played in 14 games with eight starts in his second season, compiling 37 combined tackles, a forced fumble, and a team-high 15 pass deflections and 2 interceptions. Humphrey finished his third regular season with 65 combined tackles for 3 interceptions and 14 passes defended, earning him a spot on the Pro Bowl and the AP 2019 All-Pro Team.

The Ravens chose to exercise Humphrey’s rookie contract’s fifth-year option on April 28, 2020. Humphrey agreed to a contract extension on October 1 worth $97.5 million over five years, with a $66 million guarantee.
