Marshon Lattimore was ejected after he was involved in an on-field brawl with Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans on Sunday. 

Who is Marshon Lattimore?

Marshon Lattimore is an American football player who plays for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League. He plays the position of cornerback on the defensive team. Lattimore was drafted by the Saints in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Lattimore was born on May 20, 1996, in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Glenville High School there. For his high school team, he played cornerback and wide receiver positions. He committed to playing for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team in college from 2014-16. Due to hamstring injuries, he only played in seven games as a redshirt freshman in 2015. He fully recovered from his injuries and returned to the lineup in 2016. Lattimore was named First Team All-Big Ten by the coaches on November 29, 2016.

NFL Career:- 

Lattimore was chosen by New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft with the 11th overall pick. During the draft, he was chosen as the first among five cornerbacks in the first round. Lattimore and the Saints agreed to a fully guaranteed 4-year, $15.35 million contract on June 3, 2017, with a $9.31 million signing bonus.

After teammate and CB Ken Crawley was listed as inactive for the first 2 games, Lattimore started both of the games of the regular season. During a 36-20 loss to the New England Patriots in week 2, he recorded a season-high seven combined tackles, two pass deflections, and a forced fumble. Prior to Week 4, Lattimore took over as the starting cornerback after Williams was demoted due to a conduct issue. It was revealed on December 21st, 2017 that Lattimore had been chosen to participate in the 2018 Pro Bowl. In 13 games and starts, Lattimore finished his rookie season with 52 total tackles(43 solo), 18 pass deflections, five interceptions, and a touchdown. Of all players in 2017, his five interceptions were the fifth. The NFL named Lattimore NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

In 16 games and starts, Lattimore finished his second season of professional football with 59 total tackles, 12 pass deflections, two interceptions, four forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. In 2019, Lattimore was selected for his second Pro Bowl. Lattimore and the Saints agreed to a 5-year, $97.6 million contract extension on September 12, 2021. Marshon Lattimore has played in four Pro Bowls throughout his career ( 2017,2019,2020,2021).
