Moeen Munir Ali is an English cricketer who has previously represented England in One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket. Ali is an all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls off-spin.
Born on 18 June 1987, he represents Worcestershire in domestic cricket and has played in a number of Twenty20 leagues, including for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

Moeen Ali is one of 15 players named to England’s squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales. Moeen Ali, who made his one-day international debut on February 28, 2014, had played 92 ODIs prior to the 2019 World Cup.
In 74 innings of batting, he scored 1645 runs while facing 1589 balls at an average of 26.11 and a strike rate of 103.52. In 11 of those innings, he went unbeaten. In an inning, he had the highest score of 128. He had three centuries and five half-centuries to his credit.

Moeen Ali bowled 4216 balls, took 78 wickets and conceded 3668 runs. He had a 47.03 average and a 5.22 economy rate with 4/1 being his best ODI bowling performance.
Chennai Super Kings retained Moeen Ali for Rs 8 crore. The England all-rounder played a key role in helping MS Dhoni’s men win their 4th IPL trophy in the UAE.
In the IPL 2021 auction, the Chennai Super Kings, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, paid Rs 6 crore for England all-rounder Moeen Ali. Moeen Ali was retained by the Chennai Super Kings for Rs 8 crore.
The England all-rounder was instrumental in MS Dhoni’s team winning their fourth IPL title in the UAE. Ali previously played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and did well.

Moeen Ali was keen on staying with the defending champions for IPL 2022, according to Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan, who stated that the England all-rounder had told them that he was not even thinking about playing for any other franchise during retention talks. He previously played in the Indian Premier League for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
