Mohammad
Wasim Jr is an exciting prospect for the future of the Pakistan cricket team.
He was born in North Waziristan on August 25, 2001 and has already made it to
the squad of Pakistan’s ICC T20 World Cup squad at the age of 20. The all
rounder is a right-handed batter and a right arm medium pace bowler with immense
potential.

He made his
first class debut in November 2020 playing for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the
Qaid-e-Azam trophy. Prior to this he enjoyed a place in the Under 19 squad for
the 2020 cricket world cup.

His List A
debut came in January 2021 for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Pakistan Cup. In
the Pakistan Super League, he earned a name for himself while playing for the
side Islamabad United. He has received praise from all fronts for his ability
to bowl in the death overs.

The youngster
will not be making his debut in the T20 World Cup against India as his name was
not announced in the 12-man squad for the match day, but cricket fans all around
the globe are eager to watch him don the Pakistani shirt once again.

The fast bowler
made his debut for the international side in the T20 International series
against the West Indies. He put out an impressive display in his first T20
International by picking up a wicket in his two overs but the encounter could
not be concluded due to rain.

He has
bowled 38 balls in 4 matches for the national team while giving away 69 runs and
taking two wickets. He averages 34.50 with an economy of 10.89.

His List A
numbers are more impressive as he has taken 7 wickets in 6 matches while giving
away 254 runs. He has an average of 36.28 and an economy of 6.19.
